Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, leader of the Indian freedom who spent countless months in Indian jails filled with filth and torture could not control his emotions when Lata mangeshkar sang this beautiful song and broke down into tears.

It placed the death of patriotic Indian jawans during the Sino-India war of 1962 on his feet. This was also Nehru’s realization of the blind belief about the benevolence of Communist Chinese (remember Hindi Chini Bhai Bhai) and stab in the back by Chinese Chairman Mao Tse Dung in 1962 Himalayan war.

Unless and until Nehru’s socialistic vision is scrubbed clean from Indian politics, we Indian will continue to pay the heavy price like jawans who died in vain for the pride
of one person, Nehru himself.
